The Larkspur Historical Society, J. C. Bear, and the Larkspur Area Chamber of Commerce enjoyed meeting and greeting folks attending the “Spring into Summer” fest in the Larkspur Area Park, Saturday, June 7, 2014.
Members of LHS churned butter which was served to guests on French bread. Members also circulated among the fest goers with brochures and inviting folks to visit us in the fire pit area of the Park. J.C. Bear a Mountain Man group, based in Larkspur, attracted folks of all ages with the firing of their muskets. The four gentlemen shared tales of their life style, demonstrated tomahawk throwing, and skills that are taught to Boy Scouts of America as J.C. Bear travels the Front Range.
The “Spring into Summer” festival, offered games, food, music and fun to families attending. Fifty lines were utilized in the LHS guest book. Some were individual signatures and others were family groups.
Looking ahead to the “Fall Arts and Crafts Festival” September 13th again in the Park. LHS will be selling our notecards, DVD’s, and coffee mugs. Please join us for this and plan to see us in June 2015.
Please join LHS at the Douglas County Fair, Saturday, August 9th, 2014
