JEROME E.
KINNER Jerome is the son of John C. & Mary E. Dolan Kinner, a pioneer Douglas County family. Jerome was born on the Dolan homestead east of Greenland on February 17, 1911 and attended Greenland and Spring Valley Schools. Jerome attended Colorado College, receiving a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and began teaching in a one room school in Deckers. He retired as principal of East Junior High School. He married Verna L. Swanson December 27, 1932 and to that union were born two children, Jerry and Martha. His father, John Kinner, was a native of Perry Park and a well known and respected rancher of the Plum Creek area. |
