Anna Russell
One of seven children of John & Honora Russell, she was born on a ranch in southern Douglas County in 1869. Her family located on a ranch on Cherry Creek in 1861 and later settled on a ranch at the foot of Table Rock Mountain in El Paso County. The family went by ox team to Old Mexico, on to Nebraska and finally to Denver before moving to Cherry Valley in 1861. Table Rock Cemetery is on part of their land.
