Larkspur Historical Society Projects
The Larkspur Historical Society Information Cabin is located in the Town of Larkspur Log Cabin Village. It is open for LHS events such as historical walks and selected public gatherings in the Town Park.
Crull Cabin was built in 1874. It was part of the settlement of Huntsville, which was established in 1859. By the 1880’s, the stagecoach was abandoned, and Huntsville became a ghost town. The surrounding ranchland was developed into the Bear Dance residential community, golf course and country club. At least once a year, the Crull/Hammond cabin is open to the public due to the efforts of LHS members.
Larry Schlupp, a longtime LHS leader and lecturer, recounts the history of Crull Cabin in the poem, A Time of Reflection.
The Greenland Post Office operated from 1873 until 1959 and was a central element of the surrounding community. Stabilization efforts took place in 2012 and 2016.
The site is badly in need of preservation efforts at this time.
Allis Ranch Landmarking

Due to the efforts of the LHS, in 2014, the Allis Ranch was designated as a contributing site to the Greenland Townsite District Landmark. A portion of Allis Ranch is now protected by a conservation easement that adjoins Greenland Open Space
